Anthology Coordinator Grace Chaillier.

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)–  “Voice on the Water: Great Lakes Native America Now” is a new anthology of creative works representing the contemporary American Indian experience in Michigan featuring poetry, short stories, essays, photographs and artwork.

Project Co-ordinator Grace Chaillier joined SUNNY 101.9’s Mark and Walt in the Morning today to discuss the anthology and it’s planned release this week.

A public reading will be held at N-M-U this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Jamrich Hall room 105.  The free event is open to the public and will showcase contributors and celebrate the book’s launch.

“Voice on the Water” is a collaboration of NMU’s Center for Native American Studies and the NMU Press and was made possible by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council.
