HMMM.  I THINK WE’VE DODGED A BULLET LONG ENOUGH!

From the National Weather Service Office in Negaunee:

YEAH, BABY!

YEAH, BABY!

LOCALLY HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW TODAY WITH A STRONG WINTER STORM WITH SNOW AND WIND IS EXPECTED THIS WEEK…

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS MAY DROP SEVERAL INCHES OF FLUFFY SNOW TODAY OVER FAR WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN AND OVER NORTH CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN FROM MARQUETTE TO MUNISING INTO THIS EVENING. EXPECT THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS TO DIMINISH TONIGHT.

THE PROJECTED TRACK OF THE STORM WOULD BRING STRONG WINDS AND A WIDESPREAD SNOW…POTENTIALLY HEAVY…TO UPPER MICHIGAN TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING. AFTER THE SYSTEM EXITS THE AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT…PLAN ON HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK FOR AREAS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR.

NEGAUNEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROJECT UPDATE.

NEGAUNEE SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT JIM DEROCHER.

NEGAUNEE SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT JIM DEROCHER.

Thanks to Negaunee Public Schools Superintendent Jim Derocher for coming by this morning to share with us an update on some facility upgrades the district has put in.  In this time of budget cuts and challenges facing all school districts in Upper Michigan, it’s pleasant to have some good news to talk about in public education.  There is an open house tonight at 6-o’clock to show them off to the public.  To listen to the interview with Superintendent, please click “HERE“.

MAIN STREET MONDAY PITCHED A CURVEBALL!

PROFESSOR HINKLE, I PRESUME!

PROFESSOR HINKLE, I PRESUME!

Congratulations to Kathy from Marquette who was our winner today on Main Street Monday.  She knew that we were looking for the evil (and fastidious) Professor Hinkle from the highly traumatizing classic Holiday cartoon, “Frosty the Snowman”.   She was the lucky winner of the MSM “Victory Toss”, and she is the recipient of two 14″ three-topping pizzas from Main Street Pizza in either the Marquette, Harvey or Munising stores!

Enjoy!

WELL, THAT’S A WRAP FOR NOW!

Catch you all again soon here on the internetz!
