SCROOGE RIDES AGAIN!

HUMBUG!

What would the Christmas season be without the telling of the classic “A Christmas Carol”?  This year, the First Nighter’s Club, a support group for the Forest Roberts Theater at Northern Michigan University, is doing a staged reading of the Dickens’ story of Holiday redemption.  Rusty Bowers, a member of the First Nighter’s Club and a cast member of the reading joined Mark & Walt in the Morning to discuss what’s new, exciting and different about this approach to the story.  The reading will run tonight (Dec.15) through Saturday (Dec. 18) at 7:30pm with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm.  The performances will be held at the James A. Panowski Black Box Theater at NMU.  To listen to Rusty’s interview, please click “HERE“.

PRESERVING MARQUETTE COUNTY’S AERONAUTIC HERITAGE.

FORMER GATE AT K.I. SAWYER

Bob Vick and Lani Duquette, with the K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air Museum, visited the Sunny 101.9 studios this morning to chat with Mark Evans about their efforts to gather volunteers, community support and money to keep the museum going.  If the museum closes, the static display aircraft that currently are kept on the former base will be dismantled and removed from the grounds, thus ending a rich piece of history in Marquette County.  A decision by the museum’s board of directors is expected by this spring.  To listen to the comments of Lani and Bob, please click “HERE“.
