Nicole was joined by Katy Martin who is a member of the Youth Advisory Council of the Marquette County Community Foundation.  That youth-based division of the Community Foundation funded the Junior Noquemanon which is geared toward young people taking part in a several races of their choice.  Check out Katy’s interview right HERE.

Gary Gustufson joined us next to tell us about an effort to gather new and gently used youth hockey gear for Teaching Family Homes of Upper Michigan.  The effort is to collect the gear, especially helmets, for kids who will be playing on the TFH ice rink this winter to protect them from injury.  The items are being collected at this Saturday’s NMU-Alaska Hockey game in Marquette.  For full details, listen to Gary’s interview by clicking HERE.
