NOTHING LIKE MARK AND WALT TO MIX SWEET AND SALTY.

"C" IS FOR COOKIE AND THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

Today was a classic Mark and Walt episode if there ever was one!  The show featured the annual bliss of Girl Scout Cookies and the annual rhetoric of the President of the United State’s “State of the Union” address. There also were chats about personal health and fitness and the registering of someone to win a whole bunch of goodies for their party celebrating the “Professional Football Championship in Arlington, Texas”.  Isn’t that SUPER??

IT’S TIME AGAIN FOR GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!

JILL RADY, CERA SHELAFOE AND A WHOLE LOT OF COOKIES!

Jill Rady, Membership Manager for the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, along with Girl Scout Cera Shelafoe joined Mark and Walt today to announce it’s time for Girl Scout Cookies to go on sale once again.  They brought in a wide selection of cookies and chatted about why it’s important for folks to buy the cookies, and where the money goes.  Jill also discussed the latest technical addition to their website, a COOKIE LOCATOR.  This bit of technology allows you to punch in where you live and it will co-ordinate getting a Girl Scout in your area to come by and take your order.  To listen to the interview with Jill and Cera, please click “HERE“.

To log on to the Girl Scout’s website and access the COOKIE LOCATOR, please click “HERE“.

MICHIGAN’S SENIOR U-S SENATOR RESPONDS TO THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS.

U-S SENATOR, CARL LEVIN (D-DETROIT)

Michigan’s Senior U-S Senator, Democrat Carl Levin, called in to the Sunny Studios to chat with Mark and Walt and share his thoughts on the address given by President Barack Obama last night.  According to the Senator, the speech was a strong call end partisan bickering in Washington and to get to work solving the economic and energy issues facing this country.  Yet, in virtually the same breath, the Senator attacked Republican strategies that would only cause further financial consternation for working-class Americans and placed the blame for the current economic situation on the G-O-P.  You can listen to the Senator’s comments and decide for yourself by clicking “HERE“.

THERE IT IS!  FULL UP AGAIN!

So, there you have it!  Another fun-filled show!  We hope you enjoyed it, and we’ll catch you all here on the internetz soon!

GETTING INTO THE WEEKEND IN STYLE.

THE PIE OF BLISS, PRIOR TO IT'S DISAPPEARANCE!

As we rolled through this Friday morning, it got even better when a special treat appeared.  We were visited by Marquette newcomers Mueller’s Pizza with a surprise delivery of a Mueller’s DeLuxe pizza.  This baby is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers with a special cheese blend all served up on their specialty crispy “Chicago-style thin crust”.

MMM-BOY! What a way to start the weekend!!  We wish them well and welcome them to the highly competitive Marquette pizza market.

With these flavors, we think they’ll do just fine!  Give them a call at 228-9925 to find out more about their pizzas and more (including delivery until 4AM)!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BALLOON SANTA!

Well folks, here it is…another Christmas season and another chance to look back and reflect on another year of morning bliss.  It’s actually been a great year and Mark and I have had a lot of fun bringing this ever-lovin’ show to you every weekday morning!  It’s always fun to chat with all of you who have joined us on the show over the year.  We hope you have enjoyed listening as well!

We hope that you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and it leads into a safe and prosperous New Year!  We are looking forward to 2011 and really can’t wait to get started!

But first we need to get through Christmas and all of it’s fun and frivolity AND presents!

A SPECIAL GIFT FROM US TO YOU!

BARRY MACGREGOR

Speaking of gifts, here is a special one for you.  We have played this bit over the years every Christmas and it really sums up the mood of the season.

It’s a a recording of Barry MacGregor, a Shakespearean actor from the Stratford Festival in Ontario reading the Holiday classic, “Twas The Night Before Christmas”.  Turn up your speakers and give it a play.

If this doesn’t get you in the Christmas spirit, NOTHING will! Enjoy!
