MICHIGAN'S JUNIOR U-S SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D).

As the debate over issues raised by the efforts to reform health care continues to dominate the national news cycle, we had a chance to speak with Michigan’s Junior U-S Senator Debbie Stabenow this morning for her perspective on the discussions.  She gave us her sentiments about the process of reforming the U-S health care system as well as her ideas as to what it is going to improve.  She also gave us some of her thoughts about her colleague in the U-S House, Democratic Representative Bart Stupak of Menominee and his amendment concerning the funding of abortion in the reform package language.  The senator was direct in her opposition to the amendment and told us that the issue may not make it into the final bill, but only time would tell for sure.  To listen to Senator Stabenow’s comments, please click “HERE“.
