DO YOU LOVE THE DAY AFTER THE DAY OF LOVE?

POST VALENTINE'S DAY DISCOUNTS ARE ABOUNDING!

So, hopefully, you had an enjoyable Valentine’s Day Weekend.  The day of love was  Sunday this year, and for some guys, having the Daytona 500, the NBA All-Star game and the Olympics all on the TV on Valentine’s Day was probably quite a challenge.  The desire to be a good husband or boyfriend and be attentive and romantic on a day loaded with special sports events on TV probably made for treacherous waters to navigate for most guys.  And for the women, dealing with us knuckle-dragging neanderthal troglodytes (also known as men) trying to be romantic and loving must be quite a trip as well.  Ahhhh, the romance!!  At least the next part of this blog has to do with helping out those in our lives who love us unconditionally!

FIRST AID TRAINING FOR OUR PETS.  YES, OUR PETS!

THE RED CROSS HELPS US TO HELP OUR PETS!

Christy Beck, the Community Service Co-ordinator for the Red Cross of Marquette County joined us this morning to fill us in on a program that has been developed to train people to provide first aid to their pets.  This program has been offered by the Red Cross to the people in member agencies, but has never been offered to the public here in Marquette County.  The training session is an experimental one, meaning that if enough people show up and have an interest in continuing training, the Marquette county red Cross will continue to provide it.  To find out more about the program and when the session is being held, please click “HERE” to listen to Christy’s interview.

WHO DO YOU LOVE?

BO DIDDLEY...'NUFF SAID!

Well, that’s a quick posting for you on this day after Valentine’s Day.  Hopefully, it did go well for you and your significant other and you had a great day.  If it didn’t, oh well…you’ll live on!  Of course for those who insist on saying things like, “It’s only a Hallmark Holiday”, or, “It’s just to sell some candy and cheesy gifts that no one needs”, they have never truly experienced the joy of being able to share time with someone who is near and dear to their heart and to take the time to express the genuine feelings of love, care and compassion for another person.  Those folks, in my humble opinion, don’t know what they are talking about…in fact, they don’t know Diddley!

On that note,

CHEERS!
