MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)– The Marquette Women’s Center and the Harbor House are holding a pair of events this month designed to increase awareness about domestic violence and the services they provide.

Diane Betts, Housing Advocate with the Women’s Center and the Harbor House, joined Mark and Walt in the Morning today to discuss a special open house at the Harbor House on October 18-th and an annual culinary event that raises much-needed funds for the organization.

She told us about the ‘Chefs Against Domestic and Sexual Violence’ Evening of Elegance.  This event features a silent auction and a six-course gourmet dinner at the Landmark Inn in Marquette.  The dinner is scheduled for Saturday, October 29-th and seating is limited to 100 people.
