TRICK OR TREAT information for Halloween 2011

Downtown Marquette and Third Street Village “Trick or Treat” on Saturday, October 29th from 2:00-5:00pm.  Orange “Trick-or-Treaters Welcome Here!” posters will be displayed in windows of participating businesses.

Negaunee Trick or Treat hours will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 31st.

Ishpeming, Gwinn, K.I. Sawyer, Little Lake, Princeton, Austin and New Swanzy Trick or Treat hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31st.

COMMUNITY EVENTS for Halloween 2011

The YMCA in Marquette will host a family friendly “Spooktacular” event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29. Featured will be face painting, arts and crafts, games, hay rides and more. The first 75 children to arrive will receive a free T-shirt and goodie bag.

The Forsyth Township EMS will sponsor a haunted house from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Oct. 28-30 at the Gwinn Clubhouse. Admission is $2, or $1 with a donation of a canned good. There will be a costume contest at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Forsyth Township Senior Center will serve a hot dog meal.

Have some spooky holiday fun Saturday, Oct, 29, when the Peter White Public Library in Marquette hosts a family Halloween party from 2 to 4 p.m. All Strings Considered will provide live folk dance music. There will also be holiday games, haunting stories and refreshments. Guests are enouraged to come in costume.

The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library will host its annual Halloween parade and party at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume.
