THEY SAY THE WEATHER’S SEASONAL.  FEH!

DON'T LET THE FOG, RAIN AND SLEET FOOL YOU! IT'S STILL AUGUST AROUND THESE PARTS!

DON’T LET THE FOG, RAIN AND SLEET FOOL YOU! IT’S STILL AUGUST AROUND THESE PARTS!

It certainly hasn’t been that much of a summer up here in Marquette County!  I don’t think things are going to bode well for overall tourism numbers this season.  The rainy weather and cooler (if not downright COLD) temperatures have kept people away in noticeable amounts, and when you factor in the bad economy and high gas prices, it’s just not a pretty picture!  Don’t get me wrong, there are visitors here, and there has been a slight spike in the amount of RV’s I’ve seen on the roads over the last week or so, but it just hasn’t FELT like summer up here, so the folks have stayed away.  Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to make the best of it and get along!  Hanging on in stoic reticence is always is the Marquette way!  I’m just personally tired of the rain and cold and would still like some sunshine and warmth!
