IT’S NOT LIKE I’M PARANOID OR NOTHIN’….

MMMMMMM....BACON!

MMMMMMM....BACON!

I don’t know…I think I’m starting to get just a little spooked right now.  This swine flu/seasonal flu thing is starting to get a little close to home.  Marquette General and Bell Hospitals have both issued precautionary measures for keeping people out of their facilities to cut down the chance of flu spreading to their patients.  The NICE Community School District is closed for the rest of the week due to a high number of students being out with “flu-like” symptoms.  Trick-or-Treating for kids on Halloween at NMU has been cancelled to keep the viruses from spreading.  I don’t know if this is just hyper-sensitivity, or is there something bigger lurking behind all of this precaution.  Yes, I know the flu is bad, and I certainly don’t want it, but there just seems to be a higher degree of caution this year.

Perhaps it’s just a plot to sell more vaccine…who knows?

ANOTHER “Y” WEDNESDAY UPDATE.

THE SUPER-SMILIN' LORI SMOLINSKI FROM THE YMCA.

A special thanks to Lori Smolinski, Child Development Co-ordinator with the YMCA of Marquette County for stopping by the Sunny Studios this morning for another interesting “Y WEDNESDAY”.  Lisa gave us a complete update on events and activities being planned at the YMCA and their facilities to serve area babies, toddlers, youth and more.  Several items are in the works, and you can contact the YMCA of Marquette County for  more information.  To listen to Lori’s interview, please click “HERE“.  To head over to the YMCA of Marquette County’s new and quite improved website, please click “HERE“.

A SLOPPY DAY IS UNFOLDING.

And it doesn’t look like it’s going to get much better over the next few days.  Oh well, buckle down and get ready for it and ride it out!

See you all soon!
