CLOSER TO THE FOURTH OF JULY, BUT STILL THE WEATHER’S IN THE DUMPER!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DRESS! TOO BAD ABOUT THE GUY!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DRESS! TOO BAD ABOUT THE GUY!

Alright, Marquette County, I know we are close to the Fourth, but why doesn’t it seem like it?  It’s supposed to get nice for the weekend, but for this time of year, what they are calling “nice” is a bit of relative terminology.  Acording to the weather reports, “70 and partly cloudy” is “nice”.  I have to say that that would be nice in early June, but not Independence Day.  The weather of late has felt more like fall weather.  We were joking around the office the other day that it felt like a High School game was on thew docket that night, or a Green Bay Packer game that weekend.  On top of it all, Mark produced this gem of a photo of him from his Homecoming Dance in 1984.  That’s from October!  Not very spring-like at all…but he does cut a nice figure in a three-pice suit. LOL!

BUT ALL IS NOT LOST!!  THE SHERIFF IS-A NEAR!!

MARQUETTE COUNTY SHERIFF MIKE LOVELACE.

MARQUETTE COUNTY SHERIFF MIKE LOVELACE.

I must say, though, that 70 degrees and a few clouds won’t be too bad for the celbrations going on around the Fourth of July here in Marquette County.  In fact, that’s what today’s show was all about.  We wanted to make sure that you took the time to have a fun and safe holiday weekend.  Thanks to Marquette County Sheriff Mike Lovelace for coming in to talk with us about common-sense tips to keep you and your family safe during all of the holiday revelry.  Sheriff Lovelace is always good for a bit of humor to be mixed in with his message.  To listen to his interview, you can click “HERE“.
