IT WAS A GRAND WEEKEND ACROSS THE WOODED PLAIN!

WINDS BE DARNED!! IT'S PIONEER DAYS!!

WINDS BE DARNED!! IT'S PIONEER DAYS!!

What a great weekend in Marquette County!  It was great to be able to get out and about and take in several of the events and activities that were going on with Pioneer Days in Negaunee.  Sure it was a little windy on Saturday for the parade, and the community picnic by Teal Lake, but nobody seemed to mind.  As you can see from the picture to the left, folks still came out and enjoyed all that the Irontown has to offer!  And as always, the fireworks display was second to none!  Way to go Negaunee!  Way to go Irontown Association!  Now let’s do it again for the Heikki Lunta Winterfest!!  Really, when you think about it, it’s only a few weeks away!  (SORRY!)

ANOTHER GREAT ACTIVITY FOR MARQUETTE COUNTY IS IN THE WORKS!

MAIN STREET MONDAY BRINGS OUT ANOTHER WINNER!

"DOES THIS HIDE MY RECEDING HAIRLINE?"

"DOES THIS HIDE MY RECEDING HAIRLINE?"

Congratulations to our latest winner, Jill D. of Marquette!!  She won two 14″ 3-topping pizzas from Main Street Pizza from either the Marquette, Harvey or Munising locations.  She knew that the answer to the question, “What classic cartoon character’s catchphrase was ‘Jinkies!’ ?” was VELMA and NOT Thelma!!  We received a ton of incorrect answers from listeners who thought, for sure, the answer was “Thelma”, but it wasn’t!  Congratulations  to everyone who got in with the right answer!  As you can see here, the answers, all on equally sized and weighted paper made for quite an impressive stack and a lovely piece of headgear!

INTO THE WEEK WE GO!

Well, it’s off to a pretty good start, so far!  Here’s hoping it continues with decent weather and more good shows!  Keep listening and we’ll keep on radio-ing!

See ya!
