IT’S FRIDAY AND THAT MEANS A BUSY DAY!!

IS IT REALLY FRIDAY??!!??

IS IT REALLY FRIDAY??!!??

So why do you suppose it is when you have two days off (the weekend), the day before you are gone is so darn busy?  I mean it’s already after noon and I’m just getting to posting today’s blog for you all to enjoy.  Mind you, this is the blog  for a MORNING show that ended at 9-am!  It’s just been on thing after another…edit and produce the show promo for the weekend, re-package the interviews for the web posting, schedule more interviews for the morning show, etc, etc.   Now don’t get me wrong!  I would rather have it busy than not.  Busy is a sign that we are successful as a station and as a business, and that’s the way we like it!  But it does get a little crazy sometimes!  Oh well, here’s a hearty “WOO HOO” designed to carry the spirits until we get through the day!

BUSY MORNING ON A BUSY MORNING SHOW.   GO YMCA OF MARQUETTE COUNTY!

YMCA'S LISA COOMBS-GEROU

YMCA'S LISA COOMBS-GEROU

Thanks to the ever-tolerant Lisa Coombs-Gerou with the YMCA of Marquette County for coming in and doing her regular “Y Wednesday” visit with us today instead of Wednesday…don’t ask!  She gave us a complete update on the swimming program at the “Y” as well as a full slate of upcoming summertime youth activities.  Click “HERE” for the interview, and click “HERE” for the new and improved YMCA of Marquette County website.

A FILM PREMIERE THIS WEEKEND IN MARQUETTE!

I had a chance to speak with Georgina Lightning, Director and Star of the film “Older Than America”.  The film will be shown Saturday at 7-pm at Room 102 of Jamrich Hall on NMU’s Campus.  Our discussion was mainly about the impact that the film has had on the viewers as it has been shown across the country.  To listen to the interview, click “HERE” and for more about the film, click “HERE“.

ENJOY THE WEEKEND, ALTHOUGH IT’S GONNA COOL OFF AGAIN!

Have a good weekend, Marquette County!  It may not be full blast warm out, but at least you should be able to take some of it in!  Check with you on Monday!
